Frequently asked questions
- Can I drive without motor insurance?
- No. In the TRNC it is compulsory under the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) Law; an uninsured vehicle may not be used on the road and cannot be put through inspection or registration.
- How is my no-claims tier determined?
- You move up one tier for every claim-free policy year and drop a tier when you make a claim. Your tier is verified against the records of the insurer that issued your previous policy.
- When does my policy start?
- Once payment is approved it takes effect on the start date you choose, at the earliest from 00:00 the following day.
